Glenholme campus holds Parents' Weekend
Each spring, the Glenholme campus holds Parents' Weekend - the school's largest fundraising effort of the year. This year, in May 2014, Glenholme celebrated its 10th Annual Parents' Weekend Celebration. Parents’ Weekend is truly an amazing tradition at The Glenholme School, and it has been extremely successful in aiding the school’s ability to enhance the program and benefit each student. Throughout Parents' Weekend, Glenholme parents have the chance to bond with their children, to meet new people, and to become better acquainted with the school. During the all-day event, families enjoy a variety of pleasures, segways, rock climbing, equestrian events, and the zip line all ad extra enjoyment for the day's festivities. In the evening, Glenholme parents, faculty, and Development Board members, gathered together at The Crowne Plaza for a celebrated parents' Weekend tradition - the annual Live Auction and Celebration. The evening began with a special slideshow of a year in review, given by Glenholme's Executive Director, Maryann Campbell. After dinner was served and the auction began, bidding paddles were elevated from every corner of the room, for the incredible assortment of adventures, tours, trips and honors that were up for grabs to the highest bidder. Several parents even took to the microphone to auction off some items on their own. Four lucky bidders earned the chance to be in the next David O. Russell's film, raising an extraordinary $150,000 for the Glenholme School Gymnasium Expansion Project. The weekend raised over $300,000 for the Glenholme Gymnasium Expansion Project and the Center for the Arts Endowment.
